Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Open university is the seventh open university in the country. Based in South Gujarat Campus Rajkot, the university functions through 250 study centers across the state. BAOU offers 72 programmes with an enrollment of more than 1,00,000 learners. The distinctive feature of the university is the classification of distance learners into different academic groups so as to serve the need of education and specialization in a much better manner.
